What are the results of the clinical trial and where can I find out more?Updated 3 months ago
In our 12-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled
clinical study published in Osteoporosis International of 286 early postmenopausal women, Bōndia™ significantly
reduced bone loss across three high-risk groups.
- The largest improvements were seen in women with osteopenia. Bōndia slowed the rate of bone density loss by 85%. Those not taking it lost 6.5x as much bone density as the Bōndia group. Density was most preserved in the femoral neck—the region most involved in hip fractures.
- Women with a BMI ≥ 30 showed significant improvements. Bōndia slowed the rate of bone density loss by 75%. Those not taking it lost 4.1x as much bone density as the Bōndia group. The improvement was observed throughout the hip bones.
- Women with higher body fat composition (≥ 40%) also showed a benefit, even if their BMI is below 30. Bōndia slowed the rate of bone density loss by 60%. Those not taking it lost 2.5x as much bone density as the Bōndia group. The improvement was observed throughout the hip bones.
- Improvements in rate of bone loss compound over time. A 0.25% versus 1.5% annual decline in bone density represents a difference that becomes increasingly meaningful—one that, when projected over several years, adds up to dramatically different outcomes for bone health over time.
