How can Bōndia help with osteoporosis?Updated 3 months ago
Bōndia™ is a medical food specifically formulated for the nutritional management of osteopenia, the stage of bone loss that precedes osteoporosis.
In a 12-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 286 postmenopausal women, Bōndia dramatically reduced bone loss in women with osteopenia, elevated BMI (≥30), or higher body fat composition (≥40%). The results were published in Osteoporosis International. While Bōndia has not yet been studied specifically in people with osteoporosis, clinical research in this population is currently underway.
Bōndia is not a replacement for medications used to treat advanced osteoporosis, but it may be used as part of a comprehensive approach to bone health. If you have osteoporosis or are currently receiving medical treatment for bone loss, we recommend discussing Bōndia with your healthcare provider to determine whether it’s appropriate for your care plan.
